Frequently asked questions

Find answers about English-taught programs, student work and health insurance.

Are programs taught in English?

Yes. Browse our English-taught bachelor’s, master’s and long-cycle degree listings. Confirm the teaching language and current intake with the university.

Can I work while studying?

EU/EEA citizens generally have access to employment without a work permit. For non-EU students, the right to work depends on the basis of their legal stay. The Office for Foreigners confirms an exemption for holders of a Polish visa for full-time studies or the relevant temporary residence permit for studies. A student card alone is not enough to establish this right.

Is health insurance required?

Arrange health coverage before travelling. Eligible insured EU/EEA students may use an EHIC for medically necessary public healthcare during a temporary stay, on the same terms as locally insured people. It does not cover private treatment or repatriation.

Students from outside the EU/EEA should check suitable insurance for their visa and stay, and whether they qualify for voluntary NFZ coverage. Confirm the current contribution and eligibility directly with NFZ.
