YOUR STUDY GUIDE

Visa and residence requirements

Find the entry and residence guidance that applies to your situation.

EU/EEA students

You generally do not need a visa. For a stay longer than three months, arrange registration of residence with the relevant voivodeship office. Check the documents and procedure before your appointment.

Students from outside the EU/EEA

Whether you need a visa depends on your nationality and existing residence rights. Visa-free entry for a short visit does not by itself cover an entire degree. Consult the Polish embassy or consulate responsible for your application about a national study visa, required funds, insurance and admission documents.

Plan how to maintain legal residence for the full duration of your studies. If you need a temporary residence permit, apply while your stay is still legal.
